* نلاحظ هنا فرق مميز بين كلمتين و هما :   The  difference between a clock and a watch*                

Watch and Clock                    

watch  تعني ساعة اليد    أما    Clock  فهي ساعة الحائط.

*Introduction  المقدمة

 

           كم الوقت الآن؟ = What time is it?
          .  الساعة الخامسة = It’s five o’clock
          من فضلك كم الساعة؟ = What’s the time, please?
           إنها حوالي الثانية والنصف = It’s about half past two. 

o’clock  تعني "الساعة" ونحن نستخدم هذا التعبير فقط لمعرفة الوقت. 

 

* I’m hungry. What time is lunch?   

         أنا جائع , متى وقت الغداء ؟ 

*At  half past two o’clock

         في الساعة الثانية و النصف 

 

Is it three o’clock?   No, it’s one o’clock.	Is it half past seven?   No.  It's half past eight	Is it five o’clock?   No, it’s six o’clock.

*متى نستخدم Mr ؟      تستخدم قبل اسم الرجل. وتعني السيّد.

*متى نستخدم Mrs ؟     تستخدم قبل اسم المرأة ، وتعني السيدة .
