What is a Report?

A report is a formal document that provides information about a specific topic. It can describe facts, explain processes, or analyze data. Reports are used throughout many topics, including science, education, and the workplace.

How to write... a report

1. Title:

Use a clear title that explains what the report is about. 

Example titles:

• "The Effects of Pollution on Marine Life"
• "Survey Results on Student Preferences for School Lunches"

2. Introduction:

explain the purpose of the report. For example, state that you are providing results from a survey, research, or experiment.

3. Body of the Report:

The body is where you present the facts and information you gathered. Be sure to organize your points logically and use expressions to help explain the results.

4. Conclusion:

In the conclusion, summarize the main findings.

"This survey shows that..."

"The results indicate that..."

"According to the data collected..."

"It was observed that..."
