►How far
"How far" is asking about distance—how much space is between two things.
Example:
How far is your house from school?
(You're asking how far the distance from your house to the school is.)
► How deep
"Deep" is how far down something goes.
Example:
How deep is the swimming pool?
(You want to know how far down the water goes in the pool.)
► How high
High" is how up something is, or how far it is from the ground.
Example:
How high is the kite in the sky?
(You're asking how far up the kite is flying.)
► How tall
"Tall" is how high something is when it is standing up.
Example:
How tall is the building?
(You're asking how high the building is from the ground to the top.)
► How wide
"Wide" is how far across something is, like the space from one side to the other.
Example:
How wide is the road?
(You're asking how far it goes from one side of the road to the other side.)
