Relative Clauses 

We use relative clauses to give important information about a person, place, or thing. This extra information helps us understand exactly who or what we are talking about.

Who 

It is used to refer to people

"The girl who is wearing a red dress is my sister."

Which 

It is use to refer to animals and objects

"The book which I read yesterday is very interesting."

Where 

It is used to refer to the place

"This is the park where we play every day."

That 

It is use to refer to people, animals. It can replace WHO or WHICH

"The car that is parked outside belongs to my teacher."

Examples:

1. People:

"The girl who is singing is my sister."

(Who is singing? The girl!)

2. Things:

"The book which I borrowed is amazing."

(Which book? The one I borrowed!)

3. Places:

"This is the park where we play."

(Which park? The one where we play!)
