Unit 5 LESSON 2A VOCABULARY The senses
This lesson focuses on sensory experiences, especially sounds and smells that people love or hate. Students explore descriptive vocabulary such as aroma, stench, subtle, overpowering, and mouth-watering. They listen to various real-world sounds and learn to identify and describe them using nouns and verbs. The lesson also introduces texture vocabulary (e.g. fluffy, sticky, coarse) and encourages students to link these words to real-life objects. Through speaking activities, learners share personal preferences and build emotional and sensory connections to language. The aim is to expand descriptive language and promote engaging discussions using the five senses.
