Climate Change and Animals

 

Scientists have discovered that climate change is putting many animals at risk of extinction.

• Polar bears are struggling because sea ice in the Arctic is melting, making it harder for them to find food.
• Giant pandas rely on bamboo, which grows slowly. Climate change may reduce bamboo growth, putting pandas in danger.
• Mountain gorillas are also at risk. As the Earth gets hotter, more diseases can spread from humans to gorillas. There are only around 1,100 gorillas left, so protecting them is urgent.
