Builder Tom Harris was
working at Northgate
School in the United
Kingdom when he found an
old time capsule from 1953.
‘This is where I found it,’
said Tom, pointing at the
old walls of a classroom.
‘They had buried some
really interesting items for
future generations to fi nd.
There were some old school
books, some pencils and a
list of teachers and students.
There were also some old
photographs. But the most
interesting thing was this old
letter that I found.’

Tom searched for Marion on the internet and found her
in Australia. She was very happy to see her letter again!
