Different routines
(High Note page number 4-5)
A) Lan-Fen: In China, we do exercise before school
starts.
Alia: Wow! Are all those people students at
your school?
Lan-Fen: Yes. We’ve got 5,000.
Alia: That’s amazing! Our school’s got
600 students.
B) Yuna: I get up at 6 a.m. I’m at school until
5 p.m. and then I have extra lessons.
I get home at 9 p.m. This isn’t unusual
in Japan.
Maha: That’s a LONG day!
Yuna: I know. And then I do my homework!
C) Luis: We have dinner at 9.30 in the evening.
It isn’t unusual in Spain.
Rakan: That’s really late! We eat at about
7 p.m. in Jordan. Or maybe 8 p.m.
at weekends. I go to bed at 10!
D) Aiden In the US, students don’t go to
school on Saturdays and Sundays.
Our weekends are free for relaxing,
hobbies and free-time activities. My
favourite’s playing chess with my dad.
Sami : That’s nice. Are your weekends
homework-free, too?
Aiden: Well, we don’t get much homework on
Fridays. So I get to play more chess!
