We use the Present Simple for:
a facts and general truths
b routines and habits
c state verbs (e.g. want, know, prefer, remember,
understand, mean, imagine, appear, seem)

We use the Present Continuous for:
d actions happening right now
e temporary situations happening now
f changing situations

WATCH OUT!
State verbs are usually used in the Present
Simple because they express states, opinions
or feelings. However, a small group of these
verbs can be used in the Present Continuous
with a change of meaning, e.g. think, have,
look, see: I’m thinking of going home.
(thinking = mental activity)
We think it’s a great idea. (think = opinion)

Write a short paragraph about what you are wearing at the moment and what you usually wear when you meet your friends.
Suggestion Answer:
Right now, I’m wearing a grey hoodie and black jeans because I’m studying at home. When I go out with my friends, I usually wear casual clothes like jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers. Sometimes I wear a cap or a watch depending on the weather.
