Grammar

Present Continuous                 

مضارع المستمر

Uses: استخدمات

We use the Present Continuous to talk about:

نحن نستخدم المضارع المستمر لتحدث عن :

1. Actions happening now (at the moment of speaking)

احداث تحدث الان (في وقت الكلام)
→ I’m studying English now.

2. Temporary actions or situations

احدث أو ظروف مؤقتة              
→ He’s living with his cousin this month.

3. Changing or developing situations

ظروف متطورة او متغيرة           
→ The weather is getting colder.

The structure:

 

Affirmative: مثبت

Subject         +               is / are / am              +             Verb. Ing         +             object

Example:

Listen! The teacher is talking.

Negative: نفي

Subject         +          is / are / am    +      not    +             Verb. Ing         +             object

Example:

Students are not coming at this moment.

 

YES / NO Question: سؤال

Is /Are/AM        +               subject             +             Verb. Ing         +             object?

Example:

Are you playing video games right now?
