Too and Not Enough

 

 

1) Too + Adjective

We use too + adjective when there is more than we need or want.
It is usually used in negative situations.

Example:

  • The story was too complicated.

2) Adjective + Enough

We use adjective + enough when there is the right amount of something.

Example:

  • He’s creative enough to be an illustrator.

 

3) Not + Adjective + Enough

We use not + adjective + enough when there is less than we need or want.

Example:

  • The plot was not interesting enough.
