  • of: when you talk about the thing itself.
    Example: The disadvantage of living in a big city is the noise.

  • to: when you talk about the person affected.
    Example: The disadvantage to students is the high cost of books.

  1. of/to
    drawback of/to

  • Same rule as number 4:

  • of: for the thing itself.
    Example: The drawback of this method is its complexity.

  • to: for the person affected.
    Example: The drawback to customers is the long waiting time.

  1. on
    arguments on both sides = arguments on both sides of the issue.

  2. at
    Having looked at both sides of the argument = after looking at both sides
    .
