Castlerigg Stone Circle is in northern England and is over 5,000 years old. It is one of the biggest and most famous stone circles in the UK. Some stones were brought from 240 kilometers away, and no one knows for sure how or why people built these circles.

They could have been meeting places for celebrations.Some believe they were ancient markets.Others think they were used as calendars to track the Sun’s movement on special days.Some even believe the stones were from space!
