This lesson teaches  about good manners around the world. It covers:

  • Saying please and thank you: Important everywhere, but different cultures have specific ways to use them.
  • Meeting new people: Handshakes vary - strong in the US, gentle in Asia.
  • Good manners with food: Finishing your plate is polite in India and the UK, but rude in China! Eating quietly is polite in the US, but noisy eating is a sign of enjoyment in China.
  • Taking off shoes: Polite in Asia and South America, but showing the bottom of your feet is rude.
  • Fun fact: Laughing with your mouth open is rude in Japan.
