Simple past/ regular verbs
The past simple is used to talk about past events
We played tennis yesterday
1- adding -ed .
start → started
2- adding -d .
move→moved
3-if a verb ends in a vowel and a consonant, the consonant is usually doubled before -ed.
stop → stopped
4-If a verb ends in consonant and -y, you take off the y and add -ied.
carry → carried
But if the word ends in a vowel and -y, you add -ed.
play → played
The negative of Simple Past /regular verbs
('did' + 'not' )+ the infinitive of the verb
- I played in the garden. I did not play in the garden
I didn't play in the garden
- She talked to Maha . She did not talk to Maha .ddddddd
