Numbers and Simple Math

 

• .We learned numbers from 10 to 100.
  تعلمنا الأعداد من 10 حتى 100.

• Spelling rules:

  • forty (no u) → أربعون تُكتب بدون (u).

  • eighty (remove the t) → ثمانون نحذف منها حرف (t).

• Compound numbers (21–29):
  They are written with a hyphen (−). Example: twenty-one, twenty-two … twenty-nine.
  الأعداد المركبة من 21–29 تُكتب مع الشرطة الصغيرة (−). مثل: twenty-one، twenty-two … twenty-nine.

• Counting practice:
  • From 1 to 10 → one, two, three … ten.
  العد من 1 إلى 10.

  • From 11 to 20 → eleven, twelve … twenty.
  العد من 11 إلى 20.

  • By tens → 10, 20, 30 … 100.
  العد بالعشرات: 10، 20، 30 … 100.

  • From 21 to 30 → twenty-one … thirty.
  العد من 21 إلى 30.

• Math symbols:
  • plus (+) → add → الجمع.
  • minus (−) → subtract → الطرح.
  • equals (=) → result → يساوي.
