  1. a lot of = big amounts (countable or uncountable)
  • I try to eat a lot of vegetables every day.
  1. too many = too many countable things (more than needed)
  • Eating too many crisps isn’t good for you.
  1. too much = too much uncountable stuff (more than needed)
  • There’s too much salt in this soup.
  1. a few = small positive amount of countable nouns
  • Can I have a few bananas?
  1. a little = small positive amount of uncountable nouns
  • Add a little olive oil to the sauce.
  1. not many = small negative amount of countable nouns
  • There are not many vegetarian dishes.
  1. not much = small negative amount of uncountable nouns
  • There’s not much carrot cake left.

(Quantifiers):

a lot of
تعني كمية كبيرة وتستخدم مع الأسماء المعدودة والجمع، وغير المعدودة.

too many
تعني "عدد كبير جدًا" للأسماء المعدودة، بمعنى أكثر مما نحتاج (سلبي).

too much
تعني "كمية كبيرة جدًا" للأسماء غير المعدودة، بمعنى أكثر مما نحتاج (سلبي).

a few
تعني "عدد قليل" إيجابي للأسماء المعدودة.

a little
تعني "كمية قليلة" إيجابية للأسماء غير المعدودة.

not many
تعني "عدد قليل" سلبي للأسماء المعدودة.

not much
تعني "كمية قليلة" سلبي للأسماء غير المعدودة.
