Good and Bad Behavior at School (السلوك الجيد والسيئ في المدرسة)

What is the rule?

Rules help us know what is right and wrong at school. القواعد تساعدنا أن نعرف ما هو الصحيح وما هو الخطأ في المدرسة.

We have two kinds of actions:

Good behavior — things we should do. السلوك الجيد: الأشياء التي يجب أن نفعلها.
Bad behavior — things we should not do. السلوك السيئ: الأشياء التي لا يجب أن نفعلها.

2	drop litter	throw rubbish on the ground	يرمي القمامة على الأرض
3	follow the rules	do what the rules say	يلتزم بالقواعد
4	break the rules	do not follow the rules	يخالف القواعد
5	shout in class	talk loudly in class	يصرخ في الصف
6	be quiet in class	do not make noise in class	يكون هادئًا في الصف
7	arrive on time	come at the right time	يصل في الوقت المحدد
8	be late	come after the right time	يتأخر

You mustn’t drop litter in the playground.
You must arrive on time to take the bus to school.
You mustn't play with fire.
You must be quiet in the library.

"Must" and "Mustn’t" (الواجب وعدم السماح)

What does “must” mean?

Must means something is very important to do.
You use “must” when it’s a rule or when something is necessary. نستخدم must عندما يكون الشيء ضروريًا جدًا أو قاعدة يجب اتباعها.

Examples:

You must be quiet in class. يجب أن تكون هادئًا في الصف.
You must do your homework. يجب أن تقوم بواجبك.
We must wash our hands before eating. يجب أن نغسل أيدينا قبل الأكل.

What does “mustn’t” mean?

Mustn’t means you are not allowed to do something. It’s a strong “no”! نستخدم mustn’t عندما يكون الشيء ممنوعًا أو غير مسموح به.
