Heba’s Diary
Heba moves to a new town and starts a new school. She feels excited and nervous at first, but then she makes a new friend, enjoys Art, and feels very happy.
هبة انتقلت إلى بلدة جديدة وبدأت مدرسة جديدة. شعرت بالحماس والتوتر في البداية، ثم تعرّفت إلى صديقة جديدة، واستمتعت بحصة الفن، وفي النهاية شعرت بالسعادة.
Saturday 9th October
I’m so excited! Tomorrow is my first day in Grade 4 at my new school. I’m changing schools because my dad has a job in this town. I don’t know anyone at my new school. I’m a bit nervous. Mum says: 'Don’t worry!' but that’s impossible! I miss my old friends.
أنا متحمّسة جدًا! غدًا أول يوم لي في الصف الرابع في مدرستي الجديدة. أغيّر مدرستي لأن والدي حصل على عمل في هذه المدينة. لا أعرف أحدًا هناك. أشعر بقليل من التوتر. أمي تقول: لا تقلقي! لكن هذا مستحيل! أفتقد صديقاتي القديمات.
Sunday 10th October – Morning
It’s early. I’m awake because I’m excited. School starts at 8 o’clock. I can walk from our new house. I’ve got my uniform, water bottle, bag and pencil case. I think I’ve got everything, but I’m still a bit nervous.
الوقت مبكر. استيقظت لأنني متحمّسة. تبدأ المدرسة الساعة الثامنة. أستطيع المشي من منزلنا الجديد. جهّزت الزي المدرسي، وزجاجة الماء، والحقيبة، والمقلمة. أظن أنني أحضرت كل شيء، لكن ما زلت متوترة قليلًا.
Sunday 10th October – Afternoon
I’m home! The children are friendly. I’ve got a new friend, Rana. She is kind and she likes me. My teacher is kind too. There’s a great Art room. I love drawing and Art is my favourite subject. I’m excited about the Art lesson this week.
عدتُ إلى المنزل! الأطفال لطفاء. صار عندي صديقة جديدة اسمها رنا. هي طيبة وتحبّني. معلمتي لطيفة أيضًا. يوجد غرفة فن رائعة. أحب الرسم، ومادة الفن هي المفضلة لديّ. أنا متحمسة لحصة الفن هذا الأسبوع.
Monday 11th October
The Art lesson was great today! The teacher is really nice. She says I draw very well. My picture is on the wall of the Art room! I’m so happy. I think this school is going to be great for me.
كانت حصة الفن اليوم رائعة! المعلمة لطيفة جدًا. قالت إنني أرسم جيدًا. لوحتي موجودة على جدار غرفة الفن! أنا سعيدة جدًا. أظن أن هذه المدرسة ستكون رائعة بالنسبة لي
