In this lesson, we practiced active listening to find specific information while listening to an interview with two teenagers, Habib and Aisha, who speak three languages: English, Arabic, and Spanish.
We learned to listen for key details like names, ages, places, and languages without worrying about understanding every word.
Habib is 17 and Aisha is 15. They live in the south of Spain but were born in Jordan.
The lesson also encouraged students to talk about learning languages — how many they speak, which ones they want to learn, and the best age to start learning a foreign language.
