When answering "yes" or "no" questions, we use short answers. We use the auxiliary verb "do" or "does" in the short answer.
Example :
• Do you like ice cream?
Yes, I do.
No, I don't.
• Does she play the piano?
Yes, she does.
No, she doesn't.
