Adverbs of Frequency tell us how often we do something.
✅ Examples:
- Always → all the time
- Usually → most of the time
- Sometimes → not all the time
- Never → not at all
We use them before the main verb.
🔹 Example:
- I always eat breakfast.
- She always plays the piano.
With the verb “to be” (am, is, are), we put the adverb after the verb.
- He is always happy.

Time Expressions also tell us how often we do something, but they are phrases, not single words.
✅ Examples:
- Every day → all days
- Twice a week → two times a week
- Once a month → one time each month
We usually use them at the end of the sentence.
🔸 Example:
- I brush my teeth every day.
- I go to the gym twice a week.
